Prince Harry Officially Changes his Country of Residence to the US

Prince Harry announced that he has officially changed his country of residence from the United Kingdom to the United States exactly 4 years after stepping down from his royal duties.

The younger son of King Charles III recently submitted paperwork to update his residential address. Until now, the Duke of Sussex has consistently listed the UK as his country of residence in official documents, specifying his role as a “person with significant control” over Travalyst, his eco-tourism non-profit organization.

But, a recent filing at Britain’s Companies House reveals: “New Country/State Usually Resident: UNITED STATES.”

On June 29, 2023, the change was officially recorded, coinciding precisely with the public confirmation of Harry and Meghan Markle’s departure from Frogmore Cottage in the UK, as they embarked on a new life in California. The transition closely corresponds with significant events in the Sussexes’ lives, notably the relinquishment of Frogmore Cottage following their eviction by the royal family.

“Home for me, now, for the time being, is in the States. And it feels that way, as well. We’ve been welcomed with open arms and have got such a great community up in Santa Barbara,” he told the news channels.
