ITC Infotech, the technology sector of the tobacco and food major ITC Ltd announced the acquisition of Blazeclan Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a Pune-based cloud service provider for Rs. 450 crore.
The company described the acquisition target as a “born-in-the-cloud” consulting firm offering cloud services to clients. The deal is projected to conclude within 6 to 8 weeks, contingent upon the fulfillment of standard closing conditions.
Founded in 2010, Blazeclan operates in India, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Belgium, Canada and the US. The company reported a turnover of Rs. 249.5 crore for the last fiscal year.
ITC Infotech stated that the acquisition is anticipated to enhance the company’s dedication to assisting clients in navigating their digital transformation journey and achieving business outcomes through robust cloud capabilities.
The company intends to use the platforms and accelerators developed by Blazeclan as well as its skilled certified architect pool, to enhance its cloud offerings.
Furthermore, the acquisition aligns with ITC Infotech’s strategy of pursuing value-accretive investments focused on enhancing capability-led solutions and reinforcing partnerships, which are essential elements of growth for the company.
